Fanamoozan — All-in-One Vocational Institute Management Portal
Design and development of an all-in-one portal for a technical-vocational training institute, bringing course enrollment, online payment, certification and graduate job placement together in a single platform.
About this project
Fanamoozan is a comprehensive web portal for running a technical-vocational training institute — bringing course enrollment, payments, exams, certification and even graduate job placement together on a single platform. Built with Laravel, it was designed for three distinct user groups: institute staff, students, and partner companies.
The problem before this project
Before this portal, running the institute meant juggling several disconnected tools: one piece of software for enrollment, a separate page for online payments, prospective leads tracked on paper or in spreadsheets, and student communication scattered across phone calls and text messages. This fragmentation led to lost sales leads, manual errors in recording payments, and no unified view of how each branch was performing. What was needed was a single system that brought all of these processes under one roof — usable by staff, students and partner companies alike.
The solution: one unified portal
The solution was a portal built around three separate panels, each tailored to its own users:
- Admin panel for institute staff (manager, branch secretary, sales rep)
- Student panel for students and course applicants
- Company panel for employers looking to hire from among the institute's graduates
Each branch and role only sees the data relevant to it — a branch secretary, for example, only sees that branch's data, not the whole organization's. That means the system scales equally well for a single-branch school and for a multi-branch chain, without leaking data across branches.
Admin panel
The admin panel is the institute's control room. From here, staff define courses and class schedules, track enrollments and cancellations, monitor payment and installment status, and follow up on sales leads — essentially an in-house sales CRM. Built-in reporting shows sales performance per branch and per staff member, giving managers a full picture of the business without a separate spreadsheet. Exam management, issuing technical certifications, and sending targeted marketing SMS campaigns are also handled from this panel.
Student panel
Through the student panel, learners can enroll in in-person or online courses, pay online or use an internal wallet balance, and securely stream their online course videos. Online exams, tracking certification progress, and submitting a resume for job opportunities all live here too. In effect, a student's entire journey — from enrollment to certification to landing a job — happens inside a single account.
Company panel and job placement
Partner companies log in with their own dedicated account, post job openings, and review resumes from students who applied to those same openings. This turns the institute from a purely educational provider into a bridge between graduates and the job market, adding tangible value for students beyond the classroom.
Security, login and payments
Login is passwordless — a one-time SMS code only, so there's no password for users to forget or leak. Online payments go through the Mellat Bank gateway, with every transaction reconciled against the user's financial records. Online course videos are protected with DRM technology so course content can't be downloaded or shared without authorization — an important safeguard for an institute where online course sales are part of its revenue.
Technologies used
- Laravel 11 — the core framework for server-side logic and data management
- Livewire — for pages that update like a single-page app, without full reloads
- MySQL — the primary database for courses, users and transactions
- Tailwind CSS & Alpine.js — for a responsive, lightweight UI
- Spatie Permission — fine-grained roles and access control (admin, secretary, student, company)
- Mellat Bank gateway — for online payments
- Kavenegar — for login and notification SMS
- SpotPlayer — DRM protection for online course videos
- Jalali (Persian) calendar — every date in the system is displayed in the Jalali calendar
Summary and outcome
Fanamoozan shows how a training institute with fragmented processes can move to a single unified system — one that simplifies day-to-day management, makes the student experience smoother, and opens a new path connecting graduates to the job market. Its role-based design makes it equally usable for a single-branch school or a multi-branch chain.
